“I love going to eat at Lenbach. It is such a chill environment. They offer a blanket for chilly/windy evenings and a canopy for sunny days. It's located right on the water facing the Xinghai Bridge. You can watch the sunset and watch the bridge lightup. Not to mention there's a theme park right outside haha. "

Sitting right along the water, it offers beautiful ocean views and open space, making it perfect for relaxed walks and pictures. The lighthouse and surrounding area are especially popular because of their bright, vibrant colors and clean coastal backdrop. At night, the whole area lights up, adding an extra glow that makes photos stand out even more. It’s a simple stop, but easily one of those go-to expat photo spots. Perfect for sunsets, casual shoots, or just enjoying the sea breeze in Dalian.

Tucked up at Lianhuashan Observation Area, this little glass walkway is one of those underrated expat finds. The views over Xinghai Bay are honestly the real highlight—especially on a clear day. It’s quick to visit, easy to pair with a walk or hike, and great for photos. Not as intense as China’s famous glass bridges, but still a fun little thrill.
